Hi all!! Our Easter was great and we hope yours was too. You know how the kids are usually so excited on a holiday that they wake up very early. Well, apparantly dogs are no different from kids. Our puppy Spike, was crying in his kennel at 4am this morning, so I got up to let him outside. I opened the kennel, and while I was fiddling with the doggy door, he ran and jumped in the middle of the kids and woke them all up. Kassi kept insisting the easter bunny came, but I finally made her see my way as I made her climb in bed with me and go back to sleep. The kids eventually went back to sleep only to wake up at 6 am. Still not happening for me. So they let us sleep for one more hour. Before I even got out of bed, Kassi was telling me what everyone got. Daddy got a new hat, Mommy got chocolate ( actually I got sandals, but Kassi only thought the chocolate was cool.) Sammi, Noah, and Jessi got Heeleys (thank goodness for accident insurance, I'm sure we'll need it!) and Kassi got Hungry, Hungry, Hippos.
After seeing and playing with our new items, we went to my dad's house for an Easter Brunch. Bonnie put on a huge spread. There was stuffed french toast, egg casserole, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, ham, berries, and orange juice. Needless to say, we were still full when we got home from church this evening at 4pm. The kids had an easter egg hunt at my dad's house, where they of course got plenty of more candy. After going to my dad's, we went to church and were able to feel the spirit as we learned of Christ and were reminded of what the day is really about. I hope that we all continue to remember the importance of Christ in our lives long after the holiday is over. And of course, if you are not sure of the importance of Christ in your life, I'm always willing to share what I know of Him.
We love you all!!!

I wish that I could have been there for Easter and that Annabella could hunt easter eggs with all the cousins.
