Godbehere Family Reunion

Every year on Palm Sunday, my grandma puts on a Godbehere (her maiden name) family reunion at a nearby park here in Glendale, AZ. There are usually games for the kids put on by some cousins. Everybody brings something for the potluck and we all sit around and talk, and exchange recipes, and family stories. It is really fun and of course, it's a great time to fill in the blanks on my family history. A few years ago, I put together a book with the Godbehere Genealogy in it. It's time to update our family information, and correct any mistakes. I tried to take pictures of every family group, but unfortunately, started a little late a missed some people. I'm hoping to add pictures to the Godbehere Genealogy book for next year. So if you are in the Godbehere family ( you know who you are) and I didn't get a picture of your family, please be sure to e-mail me one at nickalodeon26@yahoo.com Also I will be needing any new births, marriages, or deaths, that happened in the past 7 years. Thanks for your help. I will try to figure out how to put a link on my blog for what family information that I have. Thanks for everyone's cooperation, and Thanks to everyone who showed up this year. We had a smaller turn out than normal, but we still had a fun, memorable time. I will put a link to Snapfish for the rest of the reunion pictures that I took.

I LOVE Coupons!!!

For those of you that don't know, I have join club called coupon sense. It is a website that helps me save at least 50% on my grocery bill. They do all the work, telling me what stores have which items for sale, and which coupons to use. It is soooo great. I've been doing this since November, and I thought the adreneline rush would eventually wear off, but it hasn't yet. Today I went to Albertson's and I got 24 rolls of toilet paper, 18 packs of gum, and 64 juice boxes. After tax, I paid $3.50 for all of it. My savings for today (as taken from the bottom of my reciepts) was $50.22!!!! What a natural high!! If you want to figure out how to save like me, check out this website www.couponsense.com It covers AZ, UT, and I'm not sure what other states. If you are in another state, try www.couponmom.com I'm not sure what her site offers, but it says it works for all states. I know you probably think I'm crazy for being so excited, but my family goes through 60 juice boxes a month, just for the kids school lunches. At $.25 a pack for juice boxes, I'm excited!!

Happy Easter!!

Hi all!! Our Easter was great and we hope yours was too. You know how the kids are usually so excited on a holiday that they wake up very early. Well, apparantly dogs are no different from kids. Our puppy Spike, was crying in his kennel at 4am this morning, so I got up to let him outside. I opened the kennel, and while I was fiddling with the doggy door, he ran and jumped in the middle of the kids and woke them all up. Kassi kept insisting the easter bunny came, but I finally made her see my way as I made her climb in bed with me and go back to sleep. The kids eventually went back to sleep only to wake up at 6 am. Still not happening for me. So they let us sleep for one more hour. Before I even got out of bed, Kassi was telling me what everyone got. Daddy got a new hat, Mommy got chocolate ( actually I got sandals, but Kassi only thought the chocolate was cool.) Sammi, Noah, and Jessi got Heeleys (thank goodness for accident insurance, I'm sure we'll need it!) and Kassi got Hungry, Hungry, Hippos.

After seeing and playing with our new items, we went to my dad's house for an Easter Brunch. Bonnie put on a huge spread. There was stuffed french toast, egg casserole, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, ham, berries, and orange juice. Needless to say, we were still full when we got home from church this evening at 4pm. The kids had an easter egg hunt at my dad's house, where they of course got plenty of more candy. After going to my dad's, we went to church and were able to feel the spirit as we learned of Christ and were reminded of what the day is really about. I hope that we all continue to remember the importance of Christ in our lives long after the holiday is over. And of course, if you are not sure of the importance of Christ in your life, I'm always willing to share what I know of Him.

We love you all!!!
